‎Yusif Sulemana Connects Four Communities to Telecommunication Network in Bole-Bamboi

The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Yusif Sulemana, has commissioned newly installed telecommunication network sites across several communities in the constituency, describing the intervention as a major milestone in bridging the digital divide and improving rural connectivity.

‎The commissioning exercise, which formed part of a two-day development tour on April 24 and 25, 2026, covered Gbenfu, Kilampobile, Kibelma and Bale. The project was implemented in collaboration with telecom infrastructure partners and the GIFEC Ghana.

‎Addressing chiefs, elders, youth, and political stakeholders at Gbenfu, Hon. Sulemana expressed deep appreciation for the patience and cooperation of residents during the long-standing effort to improve network connectivity in the area.

‎“To the Gbenfuwura, the Kadewura, party executives, and all stakeholders here, I sincerely commend you for your patience over a long period while we worked to improve network connectivity in this area,” he said.

‎He recalled that during the campaign period, residents repeatedly raised concerns about poor and unreliable network coverage, which affected communication, trade, and emergency response in the communities.

‎“At that time, we made a commitment that if His Excellency John Dramani Mahama was brought back into office, we would ensure that this challenge was addressed so that you could enjoy reliable communication services,” he noted.

‎The MP announced that the commitment had now been fulfilled, with all installed sites fully operational and serving the beneficiary communities.

‎“Today, you can all witness that network coverage has significantly improved. From anywhere in this area, you can now communicate freely with Bole, Accra, and even beyond the borders of this country without difficulty,” he stated.

‎He further emphasized that residents no longer need to travel long distances or struggle with weak signals to make calls, describing the development as a practical transformation in everyday life.

‎Hon. Yusif added a strong reflection on the broader political context of the project, stating that the progress being witnessed would not have been possible without the return of President Mahama to office.

‎“I could not have imagined what the situation would have been if His Excellency John Dramani Mahama had not been voted back to power,” he stated.

‎He stressed that the ongoing developments across the constituency are part of a wider transformation agenda under the Mahama-led administration, adding that he remains committed to delivering major projects across the district and constituency.

‎“I have promised major development across the constituency and the district under this government, and we are determined to deliver on that promise,” he assured.

‎“I am pleased to announce that the sites in Gbenfu, Kilampobile, Kibelma, and Bale are now fully on service,” he said.

‎He assured residents that the infrastructure would deliver stable and reliable connectivity for long-term use, noting that strong collaboration with local authorities and community leadership made the project successful.

‎Traditional authorities and residents welcomed the intervention, describing it as long-awaited and transformative for communication, education, security, and local economic activity.

‎However, they appealed for additional development support, including potable water systems, improved road networks, and empowerment initiatives for women engaged in small-scale enterprises such as gari processing.

‎They noted that while the network expansion is significant, broader infrastructure gaps still require urgent attention.

‎In response, Hon. Yusif assured residents that their concerns would be addressed progressively as part of a coordinated development agenda for the constituency.

‎He reiterated government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, and supporting youth and women empowerment initiatives.

‎He further emphasized that the network expansion reflects a broader vision to ensure rural communities are not left behind in Ghana’s digital and socio-economic transformation.

‎The commissioning of the network sites marks a major step forward in telecommunications access across the Bole-Bamboi constituency. Residents have described the intervention as transformative, particularly in improving connectivity and easing long-standing communication barriers.

Authorities have pledged continued efforts to address challenges in water supply, road infrastructure, and local economic development, as part of a holistic strategy to improve living standards across the constituency under the current development agenda.
