The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Savannah Regional Executive Committee has issued a stern directive ordering all party members engaged in unauthorized campaign activities for executive positions to stop immediately.
In a letter dated 21st May, 2026, signed by the Regional Secretary, Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Esq., and addressed to all party members, the Regional Executive Committee expressed concern over a series of unauthorized campaign activities being carried out by potential aspirants ahead of the officially declared timelines.
The committee noted that such campaigns are targeting Executive positions at the Constituency, Regional, and National levels of the party in the Savannah Region.
According to the letter, the unauthorized campaigns are undermining and thwarting the ongoing Branch Reorganisation exercise in the Savannah Region, while also distracting the Constituency Executive Committees from focusing on the reorganisation exercise at the branches which the party describes as a critical pillar of its structure.
The Regional Executive Committee has therefore directed that all such campaign exercises must cease with immediate effect, warning that any party member or group of persons who contravene the directive shall face the appropriate disciplinary processes of the party.
