A young man identified as Ibrahim, believed to be from Damongo, has been apprehended by community members after allegedly stealing a goat this morning amid heavy rainfall.
According to reports, Ibrahim and two other accomplices allegedly made away with the animal, but the two managed to escape as residents raised the alarm.
Ibrahim was intercepted at Kunkunde, a village near Busunu, while allegedly attempting to make his way back to Damongo.
He has since been handed over to community members at Busunu, where he is currently being interrogated. Sources say the interrogation has been temporarily held up as residents wait for the rain to subside.
Efforts are reportedly underway to track down the two other suspects who escaped.
