A team of engineers, security personnel, and opinion leaders, together with the Municipal Chief Executive of the West Gonja Municipal Assembly Hon. Yakubu Yussif Castro, on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, stormed the Zongo community in Damongo to mark properties earmarked for possible demolition to pave way for the Zongo Inner Roads Project.
The exercise follows an earlier stakeholders’ engagement held a few weeks ago to sensitise residents and property owners in the community ahead of the project.
The team is expected to continue the marking exercise to other parts of the Zongo/Langbanto electoral area Wednesday, 1st April 2026.
