GES Interdicts Teacher Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct at Bole SHS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has launched investigations into an alleged case of sexual misconduct involving a teacher and a student of Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region.

According to a statement issued on June 16, 2026 by the GES Public Relations Unit, management became aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media that allegedly implicates the teacher in an inappropriate relationship with the student.

Pending the outcome of investigations, the Service has directed that the teacher be interdicted in line with its rules and regulations.

GES strongly condemned all forms of amorous relationships between teachers and students, reiterating its zero-tolerance policy on sexual misconduct within the education system. It further cautioned all staff to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct at all times.

The Service also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety, protection, and well-being of all students, stating that appropriate disciplinary and legal action will be taken against any individual found culpable.

GES assured the public that the matter is being treated with utmost seriousness and indicated that further updates will be provided as investigations progress.

The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES.
